Our Story
Every great idea begins with a story—and ours starts with Leo, the golden Labrador who profoundly impacted our founder, Niharika Thakur.
In 2021, Niharika became a first-time pet parent when she adopted Leo. Through their journey together, she discovered the immense joy and purpose his companionship brought into her life.
However, she also recognized a significant gap in the availability of professional, reliable pet services in India. Despite the growing number of pet owners, their needs are largely underserved. Additionally, discoverability of credible pet service providers is not simplified on any platform or channel.
An idea began to take root...
In 2023, on a warm summer day at a beach in Goa, Niharika felt compelled to address this issue. Yes, Goa—you heard right. All good things happen there! :) She pondered how pet parents like herself, managing busy work schedules, family life, and travel, could easily find pet services in one place or have services rendered at their convenience & ease. What started as a passion project to solve a personal challenge quickly evolved into Pet No Fret!
Our Founder - Niharika Thakur
Before embarking on her startup journey with Pet No Fret, Niharika spent nearly 20 years across various corporate roles. Her experience spans finance, strategy consulting, business transformation, and technology.
She has worked with esteemed brands such as Google, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, and Amarchand Mangaldas, assisting clients across diverse industries.Niharika graduated from Lady Shri Ram College of Commerce, pursued Chartered Accountancy, and later completed her MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
Additionally, she is a certified Advanced-level Canine Behaviourist.

This is just the beginning, and we have many plans as we continue to build Pet No Fret and cater to our furry friends and their loving families. Leo, of course, remains the inspiration and the “guinea pig” for her many ideas!
